Ministry of Science and Technology announced decision on personnel work

Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung chaired the ceremony. Attending were Deputy Ministers Bui The Duy, Le Xuan Dinh, Pham Duc Long, Hoang Minh and Bui Hoang Phuong.

At the Ceremony, representatives of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the decisions on the transfer and appointment of officials of the Minister of Science and Technology for 3 units, including:

Decision to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Pham Dinh Nguyen , Deputy Director of the Executive Agency of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (Nafosted) to hold the position of Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy.

Decision on temporary transfer and appointment of Mr. Vu Van Tich , Director of the Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation (AIT), to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy.

Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Van Nghia , Deputy Director of the Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy.

Decision on temporary transfer and appointment of Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang , Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Science and Technology Journal, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy and concurrently hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Science and Technology Journal until further decision.

Decision to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Minh Tan , Deputy Director of the Institute of Information and Communication Strategy, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy and concurrently hold the position of Director of the Institute of Strategy.

Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khai , Director of the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute.

Decision on assigning the position of Acting Director of the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh , Deputy Director of the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety.

Decision on extending the term of office of Deputy Director of Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute for Mr. Pham Quang Minh from August 1, 2024 until the retirement age as prescribed.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and Deputy Ministers congratulated the officials who received the Decision.

Receiving new tasks, the transferred and appointed officials expressed their honor to be trusted and assigned tasks by the Party Standing Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and committed to completing all assigned tasks well.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy has more than 6 units: 2 strategic institutes, 2 training schools, 2 magazines and a number of centers. The Academy is 6 times larger and its mission has also increased 6-10 times and if it does well, the development space will be even wider. The policy of the Standing Committee is that the Director of the Academy focuses on leadership and administration to create an environment and mechanism for units to operate independently and find good leaders to operate the units.

The Minister emphasized that science and technology, innovation and digital transformation have become the three main pillars for national development, so there are millions of cadres in ministries, provinces and communes who need training in knowledge and skills in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. Therefore, training must be effective so that learners can apply them in practice.

Vietnam Science and Technology Journal is both a scientific journal and a specialized journal in three major fields: Science and Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation. The Journal's mission is very large, requiring in-depth articles and theoretical articles that are not only research but also institutional, policy and dissemination of good experiences (domestic and international) to society.

The Academy Director needs to do a good job of leadership and management, uniting his colleagues to complete the Academy's new mission. This is a big challenge for comrade Pham Dinh Nguyen. "But with a big challenge comes great energy, doing difficult things will no longer be difficult," Minister Nguyen Manh Hung shared.

Finally, the Minister congratulated the officials on their new assignments and hoped that the officials in their new positions would successfully complete their assigned tasks./.
