The 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census is the most important Census of the Statistics sector, conducted periodically every 10 years, aiming to collect comprehensive information on the status and development of rural and agricultural areas across the country in general and Quang Ninh province in particular, serving the direction and administration of local Party committees and authorities; building a statistical database to serve the management and policy making for agricultural, rural and farmer development. The 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census has many new points, including multi-dimensional information collection, more comprehensive coverage, including indicators on agriculture, forestry, fisheries and the status of rural development; changes in the design and implementation method of household list forms; maximum exploitation of existing administrative data and survey data; changes in the form of information collection using electronic survey forms (Capi and Webform); Apply information technology in checking, cleaning and completing survey data from 0:00 on July 1-30, 2025.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census, requested members of the Steering Committee and the Standing Team to assist the Provincial Steering Committee, supervisors and civil servants of the Statistics sector, according to their assigned tasks, to strengthen professional support, supervision and inspection of information collection; proactively coordinate closely with departments, branches, sectors, commune-level People's Committees and relevant organizations in the locality, mobilizing combined strength to effectively implement the Census. Information and communication agencies, local authorities, and mass organizations continue to propagate the purpose, significance and effects of the census with appropriate content and form, thereby raising the sense of responsibility of the people and the forces participating in the census in information collection. Team leaders, supervisors, and investigators uphold a sense of responsibility in performing their duties, strictly comply with the regulations of the General Census Plan, and complete their tasks well to achieve the best results.
He requested that local Party committees and authorities pay attention to leading, directing, and creating favorable conditions for the implementation of the General Census in the area. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also called on all people in Quang Ninh province to actively respond to the General Census, providing complete, accurate, and timely information to the investigators to help the province in the assessment work as well as in building a socio -economic development plan in the time.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates attended an interview with a base investigator to collect information at a number of households in Tien Yen commune.
