The company's operational objective is to successfully complete the task of ensuring the technical condition of bridges and roads and railway traffic safety assigned or contracted by Vietnam Railways Corporation or competent organizations in the regular maintenance of railway infrastructure.
The company's predecessor is the Saigon - Muong Man Railway Area, established on October 1, 1976. Over nearly 47 years, with the main task of managing and maintaining railway infrastructure and construction works, the company has actively contributed to maintaining the quality of bridges and roads, ensuring train safety in the area where orders are received.
In recent years, the Company has promoted technological innovation, proactively invested in many construction machines such as: excavators, concrete mixers, hammers, punching machines, planers, compactors and many other specialized machines. The gradual mechanization in railway maintenance such as using Chinese blockers, Japanese hand-held blockers, has contributed to improving the quality of construction, increasing labor productivity and enhancing production capacity for the enterprise.
With its capacity and reputation in ensuring the quality of the projects it has participated in, over the years, the company has been ordered by Vietnam Railway Corporation as well as won bids for many projects to repair, renovate and upgrade railways.
Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company is constructing the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.
Typical projects:
- Construction and restoration of the large Dong Nai bridge (Ghenh bridge) Km 1699+860, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line;
- Bidding packages under the 7,000 billion VND project (renovation and upgrading of essential works on the Nha Trang - Saigon section, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line);
- Package No. 17 for construction of railway bridge at Km 1606+658 (culvert across railway according to the Bien Lac - Ham Tan water supply canal project) under the Bien Lac - Ham Tan water supply canal construction investment project, Tanh Linh district and Ham Tan district;
- Construction package for the periodic repair project of Go Dua bridge, Km 1715+396, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line;
- Construction package for periodic repair of turnouts 103, 104 at Bien Hoa station and turnouts 103, 104, 105, 106 at Binh Trieu station, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.
