Colonel Tran Van Luan, Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Provincial Police, said that immediately after receiving the request for support, the Provincial Police Department urgently directed professional units to coordinate with Tan Bien District Police to send 15 officers and 3 fire fighting vehicles to the scene. He emphasized that this cooperation demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and close friendship between the two provinces in fire prevention and fighting in particular and security work in general.

Earlier, at around 8:30 a.m. on November 3, a fire broke out on the 7th floor of a casino building in Tropeng Phlong Commune, Ponhia Kret District, Tboung Khmum Province. Initially, the Cambodian Fire Prevention and Fighting Force deployed 3 fire trucks but were unable to control the fire. Afterwards, the Tboung Khmum Police Department requested assistance from the Tay Ninh Provincial Police.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Tay Ninh Police Fire Prevention and Fighting Force found a fierce fire raging in 3 guest rooms on the 7th floor of the building, with a burning area of about 80 square meters. Smoke and toxic gas from the fire had spread to floors 4, 5, 6 and 7. Officers and soldiers quickly deployed 2 A-teams and used a fire hose system to control the fire. At the same time, the force rescued 4 injured people trapped on floors 5 and 6.

After more than 2 hours, the fire was completely controlled at 1:30 p.m. the same day, ensuring the safety of property and lives of people in the area. According to the initial investigation, the cause of the fire was an electrical problem in one of the bedrooms.
