On July 1, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, said that the unit had just announced the admission scores for 53 public high schools across the province.

The admission score to Cao Ba Quat High School for local ethnic minorities is 3.5 points, for other ethnic groups it is 3.75 points.

Accordingly, in 50 public high schools (not counting 3 specialized schools), many schools have admission scores that surprise many people because they are very low.

For students from other ethnic groups (other than local ethnic minorities), the school with the lowest admission score is Hai Ba Trung High School - 2.5 points; Krong Bong High School 2.75 points; Cao Ba Quat High School and Phan Dang Luu High School both 3.75 points; Krong Ana High School 4 points...

The whole province has only 8 public high schools with admission scores above 10. Of which, the highest is Le Quy Don High School with 19.5 points; Chu Van An High School with 15.25 points.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan said that the junior high school block, according to the management hierarchy, belongs to districts, cities, and towns, and now belongs to communes, so the department cannot be proactive in many aspects.

The Department organizes the entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools to evaluate the quality of teaching at the secondary level. From there, it will look at solutions to improve the quality of teaching in the long term.

According to Ms. Xuan, the failing score for the 10th grade entrance exam last year was 1 but this school year it is 0. The adjustment of the failing score is to ensure the rights of children to go to school and exercise their right to education.

"According to the stream, this year about 80% of students will attend high school and about 20% will study at vocational institutions" - Ms. Xuan informed.

Responding to a question from a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper about how the benchmark scores for public school entrance exams compare to the national average, Ms. Xuan said that many provinces also have low scores.

Regarding whether to continue organizing the exam next year or not, Ms. Xuan said she will make a comprehensive assessment before making a decision.
