A representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training informed that the exam marking process has been completed and the Department is handling technical steps to announce exam scores and benchmark scores on July 4.
Previously, the Department expected the benchmark scores to be announced between July 4 and 6. This year, the exam scores and the 10th grade benchmark scores will be announced at the same time, instead of 1-2 days apart like previous years.
The formula for the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi is as follows:
Math exam score + Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + priority and incentive points (if any). |
Candidates can look up exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 of each public school on the Hanoi Department of Education and Training's Electronic Information Portal (https://hanoi.edu.vn) and the city's Primary School Admissions Information Portal (https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn).

Hanoi announced exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 on July 4.
It is expected that by July 8th at the latest, schools will receive the exam result reports to issue to students. Students who wish to have their exam results reviewed can submit their applications from July 4th to 10th.
From July 10 to 12, admitted students must confirm their enrollment.
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi took place on June 7 and 8 with nearly 104,000 candidates registering to take the exam with 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language. Many teachers predict that the standard score for some top schools will increase sharply because the score distribution of the three subjects Math, Literature, Foreign Language is shifting to the right, with many exams scoring 7-9.
Mr. Tran Manh Tung, a Math teacher in Hanoi, assessed that the Math exam retains the same structure as many years ago. This is an advantage for students because it is similar to the types of exercises they have learned and reviewed; similar to the mock exams they have done. The basic exam has no new or strange elements, and is not confusing. The difficulty level is slightly higher than in 2022.
With the admission score for grade 10, this teacher predicts that it will increase sharply from 1 - 1.5 points for top schools (about 42 points), the admission score for middle schools will increase from 0.5 - 1 point and the bottom schools may increase slightly by 0.5 points.
Mr. Tran Duc Hoang, a teacher specializing in 10th grade entrance exam preparation in Hanoi, said that the admission scores for top schools this year are expected to increase by at most 1-2 points. The 10th grade entrance exam has a low differentiation between good and excellent, average and good students, making it difficult to filter out all candidates. This is disadvantageous for middle-ranking high schools.
