At the end of July 1, the price of SJC gold bars was adjusted by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies to a new high, 118.3 million VND/tael for buying and 120.3 million VND/tael for selling - an increase of 400,000 VND/tael compared to the morning.
In just one day, each tael of gold bar increased by 1.5 million VND. This is a very strong increase in the price of gold bars, helping this precious metal reach its highest level in over a month.
Similarly, 99.99% gold rings and jewelry gold were also listed by businesses at a new high, VND114.3 million/tael for buying and VND116.8 million/tael for selling - an increase of VND300,000. In just one day, each tael of gold rings was also VND1 million higher.
SJC gold bar price skyrocketed at the end of the day
Domestic gold prices continue to rise following the strong increase in world prices. This development is quite surprising, because in the past few weeks, the prices of SJC gold bars and gold rings have fluctuated within a narrow range. Despite the world gold price plummeting, domestic gold prices have only adjusted slightly downward.
On the contrary, until today, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings increased sharply at the end of the day when world prices jumped.
On the international market, at 5:30 p.m. Vietnam time, the spot gold price on the international market was adjusted up to 3,347 USD/ounce, 30 USD/ounce higher than in the morning and a total increase of 70 USD per ounce compared to the previous session (equivalent to an increase of 2.2 million VND/tael).
Gold prices rose strongly as the USD continued to decline. The USD Index (DXY) in the international market continued to fall to 96.4 points, down 0.49% compared to the morning and is at its lowest level since the beginning of 2022.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 106 million VND/tael, nearly 15 million VND/tael lower than the price of SJC gold bars.
