The first flight carrying 193 passengers was welcomed with a water cannon ceremony, traditional art performances, ribbon cutting ceremony and souvenir presentation at the international arrivals area of Da Nang airport.
The Manila – Da Nang route is operated with a frequency of three flights/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Airbus A321 aircraft (199 seats, including 12 business class seats).
From November, the airline plans to increase the frequency to 4 flights/week to meet the increasing demand from the tourism markets of the two countries.

At the international departure terminal, Philippine Airlines also held a farewell ceremony for the first passengers on flight PR586 departing from Da Nang to Manila at 1:35 p.m. the same day.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that the opening of the new flight route took place at the right time when the city officially operated in a new geographical space, which is a positive sign for the tourism industry.
"Da Nang will continue to diversify its market, especially in Southeast Asia, through promotional activities and attracting more airlines," Ms. An emphasized.

According to statistics, in 2024, Da Nang welcomed more than 65,000 Filipino visitors. In the first 5 months of 2025 alone, the number of visitors from this country exceeded 49,000, an increase of more than 2.2 times over the same period last year.
