PSG beat Inter Miami, nothing to say, except for the feud with Messi
On social network X, many fans and American press were surprised, thinking that it was completely normal for PSG to win against Messi's Inter Miami, even by a large margin, in the match in the round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ (taking place at 11pm on June 29). The reason was the huge difference between the two teams.
However, what they did not expect was that the famous French newspaper L'Équipe would be so "eager to win or lose", just because the bitterness towards Messi personally has been simmering since the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar when the Argentine team defeated the French team to be crowned champion.

There is currently a huge gap between PSG and Inter Miami. Perhaps the only difference is that the young American team (only 5 years of official competition) owns the famous player Messi with 8 Golden Ball titles, while the French team currently has no one who has won this title.
The rest, the Paris team has all the advantages, from reputation to the world's top players with a total value of more than 1.2 billion USD (about 31,314 billion VND). Meanwhile, Inter Miami is only valued at 76.7 million USD (about 2,001 billion VND), according to Transfermarkt . Among them, the most famous players are Messi, Suarez, Alba and Busquets, all of whom are just "old men" aged 36 - 38, and are free transfers without any fees.
PSG also has an impressive record, winning Ligue 1 (the French national championship) 13 times. Last season, they won the "quadruple" including the prestigious Champions League in Europe and 3 domestic tournaments. Inter Miami has only won 2 championships in its young history so far, the Leagues Cup in 2023 and the MLS Supporters' Shield in 2024, both thanks to Messi.
Messi is just a small hope that Inter Miami can expect to make something happen in the meeting with PSG. However, even if they have a brilliant day, with Messi alone or Suarez, Alba and Busquets also excellent, Inter Miami will find it extremely difficult to make a miracle against PSG, who have a squad full of excellent players and are balanced in all lines, and are at the peak of their form.

PSG have lost just one game since their 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan in the Champions League final. They hammered Spanish giants Atletico Madrid 4-0 in their opening Group B match of the Club World Cup, before losing 1-0 to Botafogo in a defensively-minded Brazilian side, and beating Seattle Sounders FC 2-0 to secure top spot in their group and set up a round of 16 clash with Messi's Inter Miami.
According to PSG coach Enrique: "For me, this match has a special and emotional meaning, that is I will witness all the players Messi, Busquets, Alba, Suarez and Mascherano (now coach of Inter Miami). They are not only players, they are also my close friends.
Yes, for me, Messi is the best player in the history of football, without a doubt. I was lucky to have him in his prime. That period lasted 10 to 15 years, I don't know how much longer it will last. But it's a privilege to still see Messi play. Let's enjoy him while we still can."
