Speaking at the handover ceremony, Major Hoang Ngoc Minh, Chief of Vinh Thai Commune Police, said that the charity house was built after nearly 4 months. After the handover, some remaining small items will continue to be completed. The commune police will count the amount of money donated by the community because during the process of building a house for Ms. Hoa, the unit continues to call for the support of benefactors.

“We are very happy that Ms. Hoa’s family has a spacious house. We hope that from now on, Ms. Hoa’s family will have a stable and prosperous life. We would like to thank the benefactors who shared their hearts to help us complete the house for Ms. Hoa’s family,” said Major Hoang Ngoc Minh.

On behalf of the family, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hai expressed his gratitude to the benefactors and Vinh Thai Commune Police for helping Ms. Hoa have a decent house. “This has been the family’s wish for many years. The house is the crystallization of the love of the community and benefactors so that Ms. Hoa can now have a warm home,” Mr. Hai shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (55 years old) in Tan Mach village, Vinh Thai commune is the character in the beautiful story on New Year's Eve 2025.

Specifically, on the afternoon of January 27 (ie December 28, the year of the Dragon), Ms. Le Thi Thanh Thuy (42 years old) in Tan Mach village picked up 1.5 million VND while going from Tan Mach village to Thu Luat village. The money was wrapped in a piece of student notebook paper that had been torn diagonally by nearly a third, with 2 lines of notes about the Tet market, including: "bananas + areca nuts, betel, vegetables + 10 kg of sticky rice".

Vinh Thai Commune Police made efforts to find the person who dropped it and on the night of January 27th, they went to Nguyen Thi Hoa's house to return it. Hoa was in a difficult situation because her dilapidated house had an elderly person lying on the ground due to a congenital disability, and a baby, her grandchild, was staying with her for Tet.

Vinh Thai Commune Police posted a video of Ms. Hoa's situation on social media. After that, many benefactors donated to the account of Vinh Thai Commune Police Chief Hoang Ngoc Minh to share with her. As a result, Ms. Hoa received more than 168 million VND from hundreds of benefactors.
