The coaching staff and players said that the suspension of 5 players due to using banned substances caused the team to face many difficulties when the 2023-2024 V-League season has not ended. However, the whole team promised to try to play well in the remaining matches with the goal of staying in the league," said Mr. Son.
According to Mr. Son, the leaders of Ha Tinh Club will soon work with the coaching staff and players of the team to consider and make a disciplinary decision against the 5 players who violated the rules.
Currently, coach Nguyen Thanh Cong still has 26 players, but most of them are promoted from the youth team, including 6 players who have not played more than 2 matches in V-League 2023 - 2024.
The arrest of many key players for drug use was a heavy blow to Ha Tinh Club both professionally and mentally. This was clearly shown in the 0-2 loss to Binh Dinh Club in round 17 of V-League 2023 - 2024, when with a patchwork and limited force, Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong's students were completely outclassed.
It can be said that the decline of Ha Tinh Club is an inevitable consequence, because among the 5 players who violated the law, there are 3 names: Dinh Thanh Trung, Nguyen Ngoc Thang and Nguyen Trung Hoc are very important players.
