According to information from the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense , candidates admitted to officer training will be provided with accommodation, uniforms, and full tuition by the army.
At the same time, every month, all students receive a living allowance with the allowance level depending on their military rank, ranging from about 1.1 million VND to 2 million VND.
Military school students also have free use of the school's facilities for studying, training, and scientific research, and are provided with free equipment and supplies for their studies.
Relatives of students (including biological parents, legal adoptive parents, wife, children) who do not have health insurance will be purchased by the military as soon as the student enrolls.
After each school year, students with excellent academic results and good training will receive rewards according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.
After graduation, students are assigned jobs by the Ministry of National Defense and are awarded the rank of officer (with university training level) or military rank (college training level).
Excellent and good graduates are given priority in consideration when assigned to units.

Colonel Do Thanh Tam - Secretary of the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense - said that military schools currently receive about 33,000 applications, an increase of 42% compared to 2024.
However, this year's military quota has decreased by about 1,000, to approximately 4,000. The competition ratio is about 1/7.5.
Special benefits for students as well as a highly disciplined, clean, and healthy learning and training environment are factors that cause the number of applications to military schools to increase sharply each year.
The advantage in admissions belongs to male candidates because the military limits the recruitment of women. Only 4/20 military schools recruit female candidates with very low quotas, including the Military Technical Academy, Military Medical Academy, Military Science Academy and Logistics Academy.
Specifically, the Logistics Academy recruits 2 female candidates from the North and 2 female candidates from the South; the Military Technical Academy recruits 11 female candidates from the North and 6 female candidates from the South; the Military Medical Academy recruits 8 female candidates from the North and 4 female candidates from the South for Medicine, 3 female candidates from the North and 1 female candidate from the South for Pharmacy; the Military Science Academy recruits 2 female candidates for each training major, except for Technical Reconnaissance.
Mr. Do Thanh Tam advised that female candidates who want to enter military schools need to consider carefully to achieve their wishes. With limited quotas, the admission score for female candidates is much higher than that of male candidates. Therefore, the successful candidates are all excellent.
