According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, there are currently 15 enterprises that are investors in 22 stone quarries supplying key projects in the South. According to regulations, these quarries are subject to special mechanisms in the exploitation of construction materials.
Up to now, most of the mines have proposed to apply the special mechanism, but some mines have proposed not to apply it. Typically, Bien Hoa Construction and Construction Materials Production Joint Stock Company, the investor of 5 stone mines, proposed not to increase the capacity by 50% because the capacity (machinery, equipment, people, etc.) is not guaranteed.
To ensure sufficient and timely supply of construction stone for key projects, the Department of Agriculture and Environment recommends that the Provincial People's Committee assign project management boards to direct contractors to report specifically on the volume of stone that has been allocated and received up to now; the type, volume, and progress needed to be supplied from now until the end of the year. On that basis, the Department will work with the mines to make appropriate adjustments to allocation and supply.
Assign relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of wards and communes to continue supporting mines in completing legal procedures on investment certificates, land recovery, compensation, site clearance, land use right certificates, handling of administrative violations, land lease, license extension and supplementation...

At the meeting, the mine owners reported a number of problems and requested the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to provide guidance on how to resolve them.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to proactively work with wards and communes with quarries to guide the implementation of procedures related to land and surface land use for quarry owners. Weekly report to the Provincial People's Committee on the volume allocated and brought to construction sites and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the allocation if any.
The provincial leaders also requested that mine owners urgently coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, People's Committees of wards and communes to urgently complete legal procedures on land, environment, and investment; when conditions are met, report to the Provincial People's Committee to immediately grant a license to increase mining capacity. Every Friday, report the volume: the province has allocated, signed contracts, and provided to projects, on that basis the Provincial People's Committee will have a plan to adjust if necessary.
