Through the work of grasping the situation of cyberspace, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention of Hanoi City Police discovered a Facebook account posting information related to a traffic collision that occurred on March 5, 2024, on Tran Cung Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City, with the content: "Identified the big sister who is said to be the descendant of Minister TL Full name: TO Lan Huong, the article wrote the name backwards as LHT The person who caused the accident, and was protected by the police like a king or general, this is the person that people are most upset about, there is a Facebook link below."

Punish a case of posting false information related to a traffic collision on Tran Cung Street.

This is false information about the offender in the case.

From this post, many fanpages and personal Facebook pages shared and reposted, causing incorrect public opinion, negative comments..., affecting the reputation and image of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi City Police.

On March 10, 2024, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Hanoi City Police in coordination with the Internal Political Security Department and Thanh Oai District Police invited the owner of the above Facebook account, Mr. VST (born in 1986; residing at: Cu Khe, Thanh Oai, Hanoi), to the police station for questioning.

At the police station, this person admitted to his act of posting false information. The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department has filed a case to punish the violation.

The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Hanoi City Police has filed a case and issued a Decision to administratively sanction Mr. VST for the act of "Providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals" according to Point a, Clause 1, Article 101 of Decree 15/2020/ND-CP of the Prime Minister.

The total fine for this case is 7.5 million VND.
