The A320 aircraft has just been leased by Vietnam Airlines.
According to the plan, the two new aircraft will add more than 85,000 seats to the market, equivalent to nearly 500 flights, contributing to relieving transportation pressure during the bustling domestic tourism season. These aircraft will be operated mainly on key routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Thanh Hoa, Dong Hoi and Chu Lai. Passengers on the flights will be served by Vietnam Airlines flight attendants in coordination with international flight attendants.
During the peak summer season this year, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate 43,000 flights across its domestic and international network, equivalent to nearly 9 million seats, an increase of nearly 14% over the same period last year. The domestic network alone will have about 33,000 flights, providing more than 6.3 million seats, an increase of more than 28% over the usual plan.
The airline also increased the frequency of flights in the early morning and late evening, especially on main routes and popular tourist destinations such as: Da Nang , Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, Hue, Quy Nhon...
On the international flight network, Vietnam Airlines also opened many new routes during the summer such as: Ho Chi Minh City - Bali, Nha Trang - Busan, Hanoi - Milan, Da Nang - Osaka, serving the tourism needs and connecting trade between Vietnam and potential international markets.
