Ensure good service to people after merger

After merging with provincial administrative units, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) Quang Tri Branch has maintained stability and efficiency in its operations, continuing to promote its role as a "bridge", bringing preferential capital from the Government to policy beneficiaries, poor and near-poor households and vulnerable people in society.

Many people in the province are concerned that after the restructuring of commune-level administrative units and the merger of the province, access to policy capital will be affected. However, the transaction points of the VBSP remain intact, helping people not to be interrupted in accessing preferential loans.

To ensure smooth operation of the system, the Provincial Branch of the Social Policy Bank has directed transaction offices to closely coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and socio-political organizations to maintain a network of 100% of transaction points and transaction schedules as before the administrative unit arrangement, creating favorable conditions for customers in confirming loan applications and authorization procedures.

After the provincial merger, the Social Policy Bank of Quang Tri Branch has maintained 17 transaction offices, with 264 transaction points. Despite the change in administrative boundaries, the operation model of the Social Policy Bank has not been affected. The transaction points are still maintained and operated stably and smoothly, ensuring the best service for the legitimate borrowing needs of the people.

Present at the first transaction session at the Quang Trach transaction point, we witnessed the professional and bustling working atmosphere here. Mr. Pham Van Luat, To Xa village, Quang Trach commune shared: “I have just completed the loan procedures to develop my family's economy . I see that in the old communes before the merger, there were loan transaction points, all activities went smoothly, bank staff guided customers very enthusiastically, so completing the loan procedures was quick and easy”.

Regarding policy credit activities in the area, Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Trach Commune People's Committee Duong Ngoc Tu said: "The Commune People's Committee has directed entrusted socio-political organizations to actively propagate, review eligible borrowers, monitor the capital use process and coordinate to urge debt collection in accordance with regulations.

In general, thanks to the close coordination between local authorities, banks and organizations and unions, social policy credit activities in Quang Trach commune after the merger were implemented stably and smoothly, contributing to supporting people to access preferential capital sources to develop the economy, increase income and stabilize their lives.

In the new context, the transaction offices of the Social Policy Bank across the province have proactively developed operational plans suitable for each locality, especially the newly merged administrative units. At the same time, communication and guidance work for people on preferential credit policies and loan procedures have also been focused on, helping people access loans easily, conveniently and for the right purpose.

In particular, thanks to maintaining the model of "commune transaction points", located at the headquarters of the People's Committee of the commune or ward, people do not have to travel far, do not spend much money and time to access loans. Each transaction point is organized periodically every month, with the full participation of VBSP staff, entrusted organizations and unions and local authorities, ensuring transparency, publicity and compliance with regulations.

Ms. Tran Duc Xuan Huong, Acting Director of the Social Policy Bank, Quang Tri Branch, affirmed: "Continuing to effectively maintain the organizational model and specific credit management methods of the Social Policy Bank in the whole province aims to ensure closeness to the people, accompanying, supporting, and serving well millions of customers who are poor households, near-poor households, policy beneficiaries, and vulnerable groups."

The stability and smooth operation of the VBSP in the province after the merger has affirmed the effectiveness and practicality of the specific social policy credit model and the important role of the bank in ensuring social security, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in the locality.

Believing that, with the close support of authorities at all levels, the efforts of the staff of the Social Policy Bank and the effective coordination with political and social organizations, the transaction network of the provincial Social Policy Bank will continue to promote its role as a solid support for millions of disadvantaged people on the journey to escape poverty and stabilize their lives in the new period.
