Building a healthy culture among youth

- Youth is the vanguard force, carrying within them the flame of enthusiasm, youthfulness and the desire for innovation. In recent years, all levels, sectors and the Youth Union and Association in the province have implemented many programs and activities to build a healthy culture, creating conditions for young people to improve their spiritual life and develop comprehensively.

Diversity of activities and movements

Healthy culture among youth is not only demonstrated through a positive lifestyle and awareness of law compliance, but also through the spirit of learning, creative work, volunteering for the community and social responsibility.

Since the beginning of 2025, activities have continued to be promoted in both scale and depth. 100% of Youth Union bases have organized for cadres and members to register to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. More than 3,000 thematic activities, competitions and extracurricular activities have been organized, attracting over 210,000 members and young people to participate. The content focuses on moraleducation , lifestyle, life skills, social responsibility and traditional cultural values. In addition, activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, physical and mental training, and soft skills development have also been implemented in many diverse forms, suitable for each group of young people, especially students and young people in remote areas.

Comrade Hoang Minh Quang, Deputy Secretary of Son Duong District Youth Union said: “Building a healthy culture among young people is the foundation for promoting youthfulness, creativity and aspirations for development. The District Youth Union always focuses on creating a beneficial environment for young people to practice moral qualities and life skills; at the same time, promoting propaganda so that young people have a correct perception of traditional cultural values combined with modern trends”.

Building a healthy lifestyle

In Son Duong district, the work of building youth culture has always been focused on, associated with building new rural areas and preserving revolutionary cultural identity. Since the beginning of the year, the District Youth Union has directed the organization of over 33 extracurricular activities to build beautiful friendships, disseminate the Law on Traffic Safety to union members, and strongly implemented cultural and artistic activities. The movements "Lighting up the countryside roads", "Self-managed youth routes", "Charity rice jars" have been deployed in 100% of communes and towns, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of young people towards the community.

Not only organizing exciting movement activities, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in Tuyen Quang province also pay special attention to political and ideological education, considering this a continuous task to form a generation of young people with rich ideals, living responsibly towards themselves, their families and society. The spirit of self-study, self-training, daring to commit and contribute is gradually being strongly aroused in each member and young person through practical models and programs. Maintaining and expanding 229 youth economic development models; organizing more than 1,000 grassroots sports competitions; effectively implementing major movements such as "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign", "Youth Month" ... have become "practical schools" to help young people practice physical training, foster their will, form a beautiful lifestyle, and live a useful life for the community.

Ms. Giang Thi Nga, a member of the Youth Union of Phieng Rao village, Nang Kha commune, shared: "I am very excited to participate in the movements organized by the Youth Union. These activities not only help me train myself and raise awareness, but also create a positive and healthy environment for us to connect and develop comprehensively both physically and mentally."

Building a healthy culture among young people is not only the responsibility of the Youth Union and Association, but also requires the support of families, schools and the whole society. When each young person knows how to appreciate, preserve and promote good values, and at the same time proactively train themselves, they will become brave citizens, contributing to the formation of a generation of Tuyen Quang youth who are comprehensively developed, ready to integrate and contribute in the new era.
