Beautify the revolutionary tradition of the homeland

Born and raised in the national salvation movement of the entire people, right from the first days of its establishment, the Armed Forces of Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) was the core force protecting the Party, the government and the people, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the love and protection of all classes of people. Although still young, the Tran Cao Van Liberation Army always showed its determination to fight and win, achieving many great feats, contributing to the great victory of spring 1975, unifying the country, and bringing the country back together.

Over the years, the army and people of Hue City have always been proud of the glorious feats they have achieved in the two long-term resistance wars for national liberation as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. That will forever be a glorious tradition, embellishing the revolutionary tradition of the heroic homeland of Hue City. Throughout the journey of building, fighting and growing up, the People's Armed Forces of Hue City have fulfilled their mission as the core force in carrying out local military and defense tasks and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The country was unified, the city's armed forces went to the forest and the sea, together with the people, continuing to build the homeland, reclaiming land, clearing mines, helping the people increase production, and overcoming all difficulties and challenges. At the same time, they steadfastly stayed in remote, isolated places lacking everything to continue to fulfill their duty of maintaining national sovereignty and protecting every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland.

The armed forces have also closely coordinated with departments, agencies, socio-political organizations, and forces to continue to implement the goals of socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, building and developing militia and self-defense forces, mobilization reserves, building defense zones, and the all-people national defense posture, associated with an increasingly solid people's security posture, thereby continuously enhancing the overall strength of the armed forces.

For the people forget themselves

During natural disasters and floods, the city's armed forces, regardless of danger and hardship, are always present in severely affected areas to help the people. When the whole country is struggling to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces continue to volunteer to go straight to the epicenter, selflessly performing the task of helping and protecting the people, fighting and winning the pandemic with the people, which is recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committees, authorities at all levels and the people.

Inheriting and promoting the heroic and glorious tradition of previous generations, the city's armed forces always play a core role in advising local Party committees and authorities to lead and direct the implementation of military and defense tasks, taking care of building a national defense for all people, defense zones, performing well in defense foreign affairs, building the city's armed forces to become stronger and more mature. Along with that, doing well in social policies and military rear policies with many gratitude movements, meetings to show gratitude, offering incense, flowers, lighting traditional candles...

Those actions have vividly and concretely demonstrated the traditional nature of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” not only in the resistance war but also in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, always forgetting themselves for the people, sacrificing for the people. That beautiful image is always preserved and promoted forever for generations of cadres and soldiers of the city’s armed forces today.

In the new revolutionary period, the requirements and tasks set for the city's armed forces are increasingly high, especially after Hue became a city directly under the Central Government. The city's armed forces continue to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to advise local Party committees and authorities to build an increasingly solid national defense posture associated with an increasingly solid people's security posture, the key being "the posture of the people's hearts".

Continue to advise local Party committees and authorities to avoid interruptions in the leadership, direction and implementation of local military and defense tasks in accordance with the two-level local government. Focus on building strong Party committees in terms of politics, ideology, organization, ethics and cadres capable of leading and directing agencies and units and continue to build and improve the overall quality, qualifications and combat readiness of the city's armed forces, excellently completing all assigned tasks, worthy of being a loyal and trustworthy fighting force of the Party, State and People.
