The establishment of the Regional Military Command Board is part of the process of rearranging and reorganizing local military agencies with the goal of creating a new position and force, military methods and art suitable for the 2-level local government organization model. Implementing this major policy, Hue City has completed the adjustment and consolidation of the organization of military agencies at the city and commune levels in accordance with the spirit of the Central Resolution and the direction of Military Region 4. The focus is on the establishment and operation of 3 Regional Military Command Boards in key areas; reorganizing the Border Guard Command Board, establishing 40 commune-level military commands.

As a unit located in the border area, immediately after its establishment, the Party Committee and the Military Command of the 2nd Military Region - A Luoi quickly started to vigorously implement tasks, completing a large amount of work to put the unit into regular operation in accordance with the direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the City Military Command. Immediately after receiving all facilities, documents, equipment and weapons from the district-level Military Commands, the unit promptly completed the Party organization, established subordinate Party cells, issued the Party Committee's working regulations, and clearly assigned tasks to each comrade in the Party Committee, the Standing Committee and the commander.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Trung, Commander of the 2nd Regional Military Command - A Luoi, said: Along with strengthening the organization, the unit has focused on reviewing, adjusting, and building a system of combat documents suitable for the new model, organizing training on combat readiness plans, protecting the agency, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the border area. The team of military command chiefs of the communes under their management has been convened to grasp the situation, unify plans and combat documents, ensure synchronization, tightness, create a complete local defense posture, proactively and effectively handle all situations right from the grassroots level.

Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Anh Duc, Political Commissar of the Military Region 2 - A Luoi Command, shared: Immediately after the decision to establish, the unit quickly stabilized its organization, completed the apparatus of the new military agency, reviewed and unified the organization and staffing of agencies and units in accordance with regulations, ensuring a lean, compact, strong, and effective implementation of functions and tasks. The arrangement of cadres and commanders at all levels was carried out on the basis of reasonable inheritance, maximizing the experience, political qualities, ethics, and professional capacity of the cadres from previous military agencies, thereby maintaining stability and continuity in performing tasks.

At the Regional Command Center 1 - Huong Tra and the Regional Command Center 3 - Phu Loc, the units have regularly maintained strict combat readiness, coordinated with other forces to grasp the situation in the air, at sea, at the border, inland, and security and order in the area; promptly advised on handling situations, avoiding being passive or surprised. Agencies and units have proactively applied information technology, promoted digitalization of military and defense management, improved the effectiveness of command and operation; built a system of combat documents, combat plans to protect agencies and units, protect key targets and organize tight training. At the same time, the defense areas have been consolidated in accordance with the new characteristics and positions of the units after the merger, contributing to creating a solid national defense posture.

Colonel Phan Thang, member of the City Party Committee, Commander of the City Military Command, said: We thoroughly understand the Party's guiding viewpoint, the reorganization of the armed forces in the direction of "refinement, compactness, strength, modernity"; in which the establishment of the Regional Defense Command Board is a strategic solution with a long-term vision, the goal is to build a solid local defense system. The Regional Defense Command Board is a specialized organizational model, not of an administrative nature, but an "extended arm" of the City Military Command. These units are responsible for directing, organizing, and operating defense and military tasks in strategic, densely populated areas with large and complex terrain. This is a new strategic organizational model, contributing to strengthening the strength of coordination between the military, police, border guards, militia and self-defense forces and local authorities. This allows for effective handling of defense and security situations early and from a distance, maintaining stability in the area in all situations.

The Party Committee and the City Military Command continue to direct units to implement "3 focuses" and "3 drastic measures" according to the direction of the Central Military Commission; carry out the "Popular Education" movement in conjunction with promoting military administrative reform. Thereby, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit; improving the overall quality, level, and combat readiness capability to meet mission requirements in all situations. At the same time, closely coordinate and cooperate with forces to grasp the local situation, resolutely fight to defeat the " Peaceful Evolution" strategy of hostile forces, contributing to firmly protecting territorial sovereignty, the two borders, maintaining political security, social order and safety in the area.
