On the afternoon of July 3, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , answering reporters' questions about the situation of Vietnamese people in Israel and Iran after the ban takes effect, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said:
In the face of recent developments in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant domestic agencies continue to direct Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel and Iran to maintain citizen protection hotlines; report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and domestic agencies on emerging issues; closely coordinate with domestic agencies, Vietnamese representative agencies in neighboring areas in the region, functional agencies as well as local diplomatic agencies to closely monitor the situation and be ready to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens as well as the headquarters of representative agencies in case of emergency.
Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working in Israel and Iran still need to continue to strictly comply with local regulations and instructions on security and safety and continue to regularly contact Vietnamese representative agencies in the area.
According to the latest information from Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel and Iran, the situation in the area is stable and so far no casualties have been recorded.
During the days of escalating conflict, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel and Iran closely coordinated with domestic authorities and Vietnamese representative agencies in Russia and Egypt to urgently evacuate 78 Vietnamese citizens safely from Israel and Iran, of whom 63 have returned home.
During this time, Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel and Iran continue to maintain regular contact and connection with Vietnamese citizens in the host countries to provide timely support and assistance.
