Son La athletes won 3 medals at the National Youth Weightlifting Championship

From June 1-8, in Lao Cai province, the Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province to organize the 2025 National Youth Weightlifting Championship.

The tournament had the participation of more than 200 athletes from 30 provinces and cities in the country. Athlete Tong Thi Ly of Son La delegation excellently won 1 Gold Medal in the snatch event with a result of 95 kg; 1 Silver Medal in the clean and jerk event with a result of 113 kg and 1 Silver Medal in the total lift of 208 kg.

The tournament is held annually to discover new factors, thereby orienting and adding to the national team, preparing for regional and international tournaments in the coming time. With the achievements, athlete Tong Thi Ly was called up to the National Youth Weightlifting Team to train and participate in tournaments in the coming time.
