Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region celebrates its 10th anniversary

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper affirmed that in the past 10 years since its establishment, the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region has promptly reflected the current political situation, economic and social issues of localities from Ninh Binh to Thua Thien Hue.

The activities of the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region have closely followed the principles and purposes of Lao Dong Newspaper and the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), paying special attention to the topics of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of workers, fighting against negativity, building advanced role models, calling for and supporting, and communicating charitable and social activities.

Looking back at memorable moments during my career, we must mention the times I devoted myself to the North Central provinces when natural disasters and floods frequently occurred, causing heavy damage.

During the rain and storms, the reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper in the North Central region are always present in a timely manner, with the desire to provide the earliest, clearest, most authentic information, continuously update the situation and call on organizations and individuals to support and help people affected by rain and floods. The dedication and contributions of the collective and individuals of the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region have been recognized and highly appreciated by ministries, branches and localities.

Reporters of the North Central Office have won 2 B prizes, 2 C prizes, 2 consolation prizes of the National Press Awards from 2014 to present, along with dozens of industry and local press awards. These proud achievements are the result of the enthusiastic support of the leaders of 7 provinces in the North Central region, the harmonious coordination of the provincial Labor Federations, local departments and branches.

At the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor affirmed that the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region operates in an area with many difficulties and severe natural disasters, but the staff and reporters of the Lao Dong Newspaper Representative Office in the North Central region have been dynamic, enthusiastic, dedicated, and have high professional expertise, so they have performed well the tasks of information, reflection, and propaganda, achieving many remarkable results.

The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that the staff and reporters of the North Central Representative Office will continue to promote the nearly 95-year tradition of establishment and development of the Lao Dong Newspaper, train, strive, and dedicate themselves to performing well the functions and tasks of information and propaganda to continuously enhance the reputation of the newspaper and the North Central Representative Office.

On this occasion, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu presented the Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to the North Central Office.
