The annual World Travel, Trade and Taste Expo brings together thousands of travel operators, hospitality industry leaders, national and international representatives and travel enthusiasts from across Canada and the United States. This year, Uganda stood out and made a strong impression among the myriad of other tourism promotion booths by effectively leveraging its identity.

Uganda's pavilion offers a vibrant experience and allows visitors to immerse themselves in the flavors, admire the beautiful natural landscapes and "take home" unique "hometown gifts" of the East African country.

One of the attractions is that visitors to the booth can freely try Ugandan organic coffee, which is famous for its quality, and Uganda Waragi gin with its distinctive flavor. Through this, visitors can truly feel the local flavor of Uganda.

Not only appealing to the sense of taste and smell, the booth has a large LCD screen introducing famous tourist attractions and natural wonders, from lush green grasslands to picturesque lakes, further arousing tourists' interest in Uganda. A visitor who experienced the booth enthusiastically shared: "I have never heard of Uganda before, but I will definitely add this country to my travel plans this year."

In addition, Ugandan travel agencies are also present here to provide advice and answer visitors' questions about flights, schedules, prices, etc. "Pleased to welcome and satisfy visitors", the booth also gives visitors free roasted coffee, handmade bracelets, etc. as a reminder for each visitor to consider coming to Uganda on their upcoming trip.

Expressing his delight at the great interest his booth received, Ugandan Ambassador to Canada Allan Kajik emphasized: “Every coffee bean has a story. Our story is written in volcanic soil, picked with the pride of our ancestors and brewed with the spirit of a developing nation. We do not just export coffee, we export identity.”

Uganda's showing at the World Travel, Trade and Taste 2025 sends a clear message: The East African nation is moving from exporting raw commodities to exporting compelling stories, forging partnerships and establishing high-value chains.

As expected of the “pearl of Africa”, Uganda is now striving to shine with its sparkling beauty spanning many fields from coffee, culture to tourism, economy
