The area of perennial crops is estimated at 12,249 hectares, an increase of 5.32% over the same period in 2024. Of which, fruit trees are 3,778 hectares, an increase of 19.37%; tea trees are 227 hectares, a decrease of 0.44%; spices and medicinal plants are 7,625 hectares, a decrease of 0.12%; other perennial plants are 619 hectares, an increase of 2.65%.
The bright spot of agricultural production in the first 6 months of the year was plants such as: tobacco planted 27.9% higher than the plan, up 23.6% over the same period, output 29.2% higher than the plan. Potato planting area exceeded 43.1% of the plan, output exceeded 42.7% of the plan; arrowroot planted 76% higher than the plan, output exceeded 79.6% of the plan.
In the last months of the year, the province continued to direct localities to implement the Smart Agricultural Development Plan towards the production of endemic goods associated with processing, striving to achieve the agricultural growth target of 3.3% in 2025.
