Coach Mai Duc Chung made 6 changes to the starting lineup in the match against UAE, notably the return of captain Huynh Nhu, center back Chuong Thi Kieu and number 1 goalkeeper Kim Thanh.
With the strongest lineup, the Vietnamese women's team quickly overwhelmed the weaker opponent from West Asia.

In the 11th minute, from a corner kick by Van Su, Chuong Thi Kieu was not marked and easily headed the ball to open the score. Just 4 minutes later, a mistake by the UAE defense created conditions for Thai Thi Thao to increase the score to 2-0. Before the end of the first half, Nguyen Thi Van scored the third goal after a classy cross by Thu Thao.
In the second half, Nguyen Thi Van completed her double with a one-touch finish in the penalty area. Despite making many substitutions, coach Mai Duc Chung's players still maintained their position and scored two more goals, closing out a 6-0 victory.
Although main striker Huynh Nhu continued to fail to score and left the field in the 62nd minute, the team still maintained the top position in Group E with 6 points after two matches. The final match against Guam will be decisive for the top position in the group.
