The 11th Student Scientific Research Competition, 2025 brings together many topics and products with practical applications, serving the community and high potential to develop into startup projects.
In particular, student groups from the Faculty of Pharmacy dominated with outstanding topics such as: Research and development of cream containing 95% curcumin and vitamin E using laboratory-scale emulsification techniques to create products with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities; Research and application of HPLC method to quantify methylparaben preservatives in pharmaceutical and gel-based cosmetic preparations in Vietnam;...
The special feature of this year’s competition is that all the research results of the finalists were published in prestigious academic forums. Specifically, 5 articles were published in scientific journals in the scoring list of the State Council of Professors and 40 articles were published in scientific proceedings.
According to the Organizing Committee, among the outstanding topics in the final round, 4 topics will be nominated to participate in the Ministry-level Student Scientific Research Award and 10 topics will participate in the City-level Student Scientific Research Award in the coming time.
The Dong A University Student Scientific Research Competition is an annual academic playground, which has been held 11 times so far. This year, the competition has 54 quality topics from 173 students nominated from hundreds of exciting research topics in the faculties.
The final round of the competition witnessed explosive competitions from 45 outstanding groups of topics, with 24 topics in the Economic - Social Council, 9 topics in the Technical - Health Council, and 12 topics in the Language Council.
The Organizing Committee awarded 2 First Prizes, 3 Second Prizes, 9 Third Prizes, and 9 Encouragement Prizes. In addition, awards such as “Most Favorite Topic”, “Excellent Collective” and “Excellent Instructor” were also presented.

Immediately after the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 11th Student Scientific Research Competition, the semi-finals of the UDA Startup & Innovation 2025 Startup Competition also took place with an exciting competition from 23 startup projects in 3 application fields: engineering, trade - services and health - medicine.
The final round of the Startup & Innovation 2025 competition is expected to take place on September 5 with the 15 most outstanding projects.
