Rafael Nadal shared during an audience exchange: "I feel much better than I expected a month ago.

I really miss everything, from the field to the audience and especially the feeling of competing. I have been training with good intensity and nothing is impossible. But just being here is a victory for me."

The ATP 250 Brisbane International takes place in Australia from December 31, 2023 to January 7, 2024. After this tournament, Nadal will attend the 2024 Australian Open (January 14-28, 2024) with the goal of winning the 23rd Grand Slam of his career.

The Spanish star shared: "I lived unforgettable moments in Australia and I want to experience a year like that here. I don't want to predict my ability to play in the short and medium term.

I'm definitely not going to be playing for long so every event now is precious. I have to accept the fact that things won't be perfect, just go out there every day with a positive attitude."

According to the draw for the Brisbane International 2024, Nadal will start in the first round and his opponent will not be determined until the qualifying round is over. If Nadal starts well, he could face No. 8 seed Aslan Karatsev in the second round.

The Spaniard's potential quarter-final opponent is fourth seed Ugo Humbert. Nadal's real challenge will come if he reaches the semi-finals, where Andy Murray or Grigor Dimitrov could be waiting. However, Murray and Dimitrov will be eliminated in the first round.

Junior Carlos Alcaraz has special respect for Nadal: "I think Nadal is ready. I've seen some videos of him practicing, Rafael has achieved 100% of his ability.

I also heard other players talking about Nadal's good form on the practice court. I think he is ready for the best in 2024."
