The rehearsal program includes contents related to the ceremony, including: incense offering ceremony to commemorate the founder Mac Dang Dung and the Empress Dowager Vu Thi Ngoc Toan; rituals to announce the decision to rank the Mac family temple as a special national relic, receiving the title of National Intangible Cultural Heritage for the Mac Dynasty's ethnic wrestling festival; and inauguration of the Mac family temple after 10 years of restoration. The ceremony was prepared solemnly and thoughtfully, expressing deep gratitude to the ancestors.
The festival is a special art program staged by Hai Phong Traditional Theater in collaboration with Dong Cheo Theater, recreating the typical cultural space of the Mac Dynasty.
At the rehearsal, the festival organizing committee highly appreciated the seriousness and responsibility of the participating forces. At the same time, they directed a thorough review of all aspects such as sound, lighting, reception, security, live television, booths, etc. to ensure that the opening ceremony creates a good impression on the people and visitors.
The event took place in a special context after the new Hai Phong city was merged, further enhancing the meaning of cultural connection and gratitude to the roots between the two lands sharing the same heritage flow. Through that, “Mac Dynasty Countryside Market” gradually affirmed its position as a typical cultural and spiritual highlight in the historical tourism space of the new Hai Phong city.
The opening ceremony of "Mac Dynasty Countryside Market" was broadcast live on digital platforms and channels of Hai Phong Newspaper and Radio and Television, taking place on the evening of July 8.
