Attending the conference were Deputy Chiefs of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army: Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia; Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son. Also attending were representatives from the General Department of Logistics and Technology and leaders and commanders of agencies under the General Staff.

At the conference, agencies and units reported on the preparation and organization of commemorative activities; reported on plans to implement activities in the coming time and proposed some key contents.

Recently, the Chief of the General Staff has directed agencies and units to actively organize many practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day.

In particular, since May 2025, the Political Department has coordinated with the Army Youth Union to launch a contest throughout the army to learn about the history and traditions of the 80 years of building, fighting and growing of the General Staff. Promote information and propaganda in the Army press and complete the pre-production of the traditional film of the General Staff.

In addition, the Political Department issued guidelines for organizing a peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 19th Congress of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense ; the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the General Staff's Traditional Day.

Included in the commemorative activities are a total of 7 cultural, artistic and camping programs, including: Art exchange program at ATK Dinh Hoa, Thai Nguyen; Artistic political program at Thang Long Imperial Citadel ( Hanoi ); Epic art program at the Commemoration Ceremony; Art and military music performance programs in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi...

Regarding scientific activities, the Chief of the General Staff has signed and issued a plan to organize a scientific conference; publish a series of books on the history of the General Staff from 1945 to 2025. To date, the series of books has completed additional editing for the first 3 volumes and completed the manuscripts of volumes 4 and 5. In addition, the manuscript of the book of 80 typical speeches and articles by the Chiefs of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army has been completed.

Policy and mass mobilization activities continue to be promoted, in which the Political Bureau and relevant agencies have deployed support for the construction of 80 gratitude houses and 80 solidarity houses in localities. Up to now, the beneficiaries have been identified and funding for the construction of 57 gratitude houses and 75 solidarity houses has been handed over...

Concluding the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong commended and highly appreciated relevant agencies and units for their close coordination, good preparation and organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the General Staff's Traditional Day.

In the coming time, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the entire army to step up information and propaganda and organize focused and key commemorative activities. The Army press agencies should strengthen propaganda about the traditions, history, and achievements of groups and individuals in the General Staff. He requested the Hanoi Capital Command and the Military Region 7 Command to advise the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Party Committees and People's Committees, and actively coordinate with departments, branches, and sectors to request permission to organize and support in all aspects so that the General Staff can successfully organize commemorative activities in the two cities.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army noted that relevant agencies and units should actively coordinate and prepare well for cultural and artistic programs. Especially the epic art program with the theme "The Red Thread Marks the Path to Victory" and the political art program "Epic of Victory" must be carefully prepared, with elaborate and tight scripts, and the content must highlight the achievements and feats of the General Staff during 80 years of building, fighting and growing.

Agencies and units in the General Staff continue to promote policy and mass mobilization activities. Organize visits and present gifts to families of policy beneficiaries in remote areas and revolutionary bases, thereby further enhancing the tradition and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the tradition of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.
