Over the past 10 years, the Party Committee of Son La Power Company has effectively integrated the content of learning from Uncle Ho with the implementation of resolutions and instructions. The Company has concretized the content of Directive 05 into the action program to implement the Central resolutions and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels. The content of learning from and following Uncle Ho has been integrated into the Party cell resolutions and monthly, quarterly and annual work programs. Every year, Party members make a commitment to cultivate, practice and strive to follow the ideology, morality and style of President Ho Chi Minh in conjunction with assigned political tasks.
Every year, the Party Committee organizes a review and assessment of the implementation of learning from Uncle Ho in Party cell activities, considering it an important criterion to evaluate the quality of Party members. Comrade Tran Duy Trinh, Party Committee Secretary and Director of Son La Power Company said: Learning from and following Uncle Ho is no longer just a slogan, but has become a voluntary and regular activity for every cadre and Party member. The spirit of "practice goes hand in hand with words" and "exemplary leadership" is promoted, contributing to building a healthy, dedicated and responsible office culture environment.
Implementing Uncle Ho's teaching that "caring for the people's interests is the top priority", Son La Power Company closely combines learning and following Uncle Ho's example in innovation and improving customer service quality. Many emulation movements have been widely deployed, bringing about clear results: From 2016 to 2024, the Company has provided new electricity to nearly 96,000 customers, shortening the average electricity supply time from four days to 3.14 days; ensuring the rate of access to electricity meeting standards, reducing the time of power outages; the rate of households with electricity reached over 99%, especially in remote, isolated and border communes; effectively applying digital technology in technical management, business and customer service, contributing to improving operational efficiency and transparency of processes.
The Party Committee of Son La Power Company also combines studying with building a team of cadres and party members who set an example, becoming a center for spreading learning and following Uncle Ho. Many outstanding individuals have shown dynamism, daring to think, daring to do, innovating management methods, actively advising and organizing the effective implementation of professional tasks. From 2020 to present, the company has recorded more than 400 initiatives recognized and applied, of which 17 initiatives were recognized at the Northern Power Corporation level.
Along with that, the Party Committee of Son La Electricity Company also combines learning and following Uncle Ho with social security work. Over the past 10 years, the Company has supported the Fund "For the Poor", the Fund "Repaying Gratitude", the Fund "Child Protection" of Son La province with hundreds of millions of VND; supported the elimination of 19 temporary houses for poor veteran members with a total cost of more than 500 million VND from the contributions of all cadres, workers and employees of the unit; coordinated the organization of the program "Lighting up the Countryside", invested in 668 street lights for 27,397m of road in remote areas with a total cost of more than 3 billion VND; repaired and installed new household electricity systems for poor households and policy families, replaced lighting with energy-saving LED lights for 1,546 households with a total cost of more than 484 million VND.
Every year, the Company organizes visits and supports Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Group 10, Quyet Thang Ward and visits and presents gifts to 30 families of war invalids, sick soldiers, and martyrs on the occasion of July 27 and Lunar New Year with a total amount of more than 200 million VND; visits 4,080 poor households and policy families with a total cost of more than 460 million VND. The unit also supports hundreds of students in difficult circumstances, grants scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties; presents gifts to 714 students and 34 schools with a total value of 462 million VND. At the same time, it implements rooftop solar power programs for schools and medical stations, contributing to spreading the message of using clean energy and protecting the environment. Along with that, the Company supports more than 2.1 billion VND for communes in region 3 (communes assigned by the province to sponsor). Every year, the company mobilizes its staff to donate blood during “Pink Week” and “Red Journey” with more than 600 units of blood, contributing to saving patients and spreading humanitarian acts in the community...
In the coming time, the Party Committee of Son La Power Company will take work efficiency and behavioral change as a measure; leaders must be exemplary and create motivation for the collective.
