Despite having home field advantage, Vietnam U19 women's team let Thailand pressure them from the start of the match and a mistake caused Vietnam U19 women's team to concede a goal in the 26th minute. Early in the second half, Thuy Nga equalized 1-1 on the 11m mark.

However, Thailand quickly regained the lead from a penalty. In the 67th minute, Phatcharakorn sealed a 3-1 victory for Thailand.

After the match, coach Okiyama Masahiko said he was not surprised but the gap and confidence in the first half of the U19 women's team of Vietnam were not good and needed improvement.

"It's a pity that we couldn't win the championship to satisfy and thank the audience and supporters of the team. However, I'm satisfied that the players tried their best. I feel that this defeat must be good experience for the players to prepare for the upcoming tournaments" - Coach Masahiko expressed.

Disappointed after the match, the Japanese strategist still highly appreciated his students and believed they could aim for the U20 Women's World Cup.

Mr. Masahiko expressed: "This generation of players has a great future. This U20 team is still going on, this August there is the Asian qualifier and we still need to improve a lot for that tournament. I need to help you improve in spirit and confidence, next year we can aim for a longer goal like winning a ticket to the U20 Women's World Cup."

Losing 1-3 to Thailand, the U19 women's team of Vietnam continued to miss the championship after 4 times reaching the final. Notably, the U19 women's team of Vietnam lost 3 times to the representative of the Golden Temple country in 2014, 2023 and this year.

Thailand U19 women's team won the championship for the third time and became the team with the best performance in the tournament, followed by Australia U19 with 1 championship (2022).
