Raw rice price slightly reduced
According to the An Giang market, some raw rice varieties have been adjusted down by 50 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Specifically, CL 555 rice is currently fluctuating at 8,200 - 8,300 VND/kg; OM 380 has decreased to 7,700 - 7,800 VND/kg. Meanwhile, varieties such as OM 18, IR 504 and 5451 remain priced at 7,600 - 9,700 VND/kg. Finished rice continues to be stable, commonly from 8,800 - 9,700 VND/kg depending on the type.
Stable retail prices of rice and by-products
At traditional markets, retail rice prices did not fluctuate significantly. Nang Nhen rice still had the highest price at VND28,000/kg. Fragrant rice, popular white rice or Soc rice maintained their familiar prices. By-products such as IR504 fragrant rice bran, bran or rice husks also remained the same as yesterday.
Fresh rice maintains stable momentum
Fresh rice prices in localities continued to remain around 5,700 - 6,200 VND/kg, depending on the variety. Varieties such as IR 50404, OM 18, OM 5451, Nang Hoa 9 and Dai Thom 8 all maintained the same price as yesterday. Purchasing activities took place steadily, with no major fluctuations in supply.
Local transactions remain stable
The buying and selling situation in provinces such as An Giang, Dong Thap, Tien Giang , Soc Trang and Tay Ninh is still going on slowly. Rice supply is steady, transactions are slow but prices generally do not fluctuate much. Some areas such as Sa Dec recorded slight changes in the price of fragrant raw rice.
Vietnam's rice exports continue to remain stable
In the international market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained stable, maintaining their competitive momentum at 377 - 390 USD/ton for 5% broken rice. While Indian rice prices fell sharply due to large inventories, Vietnam maintained stable orders to the Philippines, Malaysia and African markets.
