Google suggests users get creative by "animating everyday objects, bringing drawings to life, or adding movement to natural scenes." The resulting videos will be in MP4 format (720p, 16:9) for easy downloading and sharing.
Google has begun rolling out the new feature to subscribers of its Google AI Pro ($19.99/month) and AI Ultra ($249.99/month) plans globally. The feature is also available first on the Gemini web platform, with support for the Gemini mobile app coming soon.
To ensure safety, each video created will be watermarked by Google with a "Veo" in the lower right corner, and will also include an invisible digital watermark called SynthID. Google says it conducts extensive testing to proactively find and fix potential vulnerabilities. The company also continuously develops policies to prevent abuse of the tool and the creation of unsafe content.
Notably, Google also revealed an extremely impressive figure that users have created more than 40 million Veo 3 videos in the past seven weeks through the Gemini app and Flow filmmaking tool.
