Reporting at the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang said that currently, the Vietnamese community in France has more than 300,000 people; with about more than 100 associations, nearly 50,000 intellectuals and thousands of businessmen.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vietnamese community in France was extremely proud of the achievements that our country has made in the fields of socio -economics, international integration as well as on the foreign front; proud of the Fatherland that is increasingly famous in the region and internationally, highly appreciated by friends around the world, including French and European friends.

The Vietnamese community in France always breathes and beats with the heart of the country in the moments and historical milestones of the nation; always preserves the cultural identity and national traditions; continues to be a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and France; and actively contributes to the country's construction through cooperation activities, knowledge transfer, promoting the image of Vietnam and solidarity activities, joining hands with compatriots in the country to overcome difficulties.
Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion at the sincere sentiments and growth of the Vietnamese community in France; affirming that the Party and State consider the overseas Vietnamese community an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community. The Prime Minister conveyed the best regards and congratulations of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu to the people.

Sharing with the people about the world and domestic situation, the Prime Minister said that our country has identified three pillars: building socialist democracy; socialist rule of law state; socialist-oriented market economy with state management. With that correct direction, Vietnam was a country devastated by war, embargo, at the "bottom of the well, foot of the wall", the scale of the country's economy at that time was only about 4 billion USD, but by 2024, the scale of the economy had reached more than 470 billion USD, expected to reach 510 billion USD in 2025. Per capita income from over 100 USD, has now reached more than 4,700 USD. Along with that, we still ensure the big goals of maintaining territorial integrity, ensuring people have a prosperous life, and improving the happiness index. Many large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, airports, high-speed railways, programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, and to build 1 million social housing apartments are being actively implemented. Affirming that Vietnam's foundation, potential, position, and prestige have never been as good as they are today, the Prime Minister said that the above achievements are partly due to the important contributions of 6 million Vietnamese compatriots abroad.

According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam aims to become a developing country with high average income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045. Currently, the whole country is urgently carrying out a "revolution" in the arrangement of the apparatus and organization of the two-level government, shifting from a passive state to a creative and proactive state serving the people and businesses; implementing the "four pillars" of resolutions on: breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation; innovation in law making and enforcement; international integration in the new situation; development of the private economy. Emphasizing that "the Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly has agreed, and the people have supported", the Prime Minister called on overseas Vietnamese in general and overseas Vietnamese in France in particular to join hands and contribute to the country to implement the above major orientations so that the whole country can enter a period of rising to become rich, strong, civilized, and prosperous.
Regarding the Vietnam - French Republic relationship, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Vietnam - France relationship is a predestined relationship, going through ups and downs and breakthroughs, developing every day, many French works and imprints still exist in Vietnam, especially infrastructure works, architecture, cultural, artistic, scientific, educational values, etc.; he believes that the Vietnam - France relationship will continue to go into depth, substance and effectiveness.

The Prime Minister said that with the policy that the Vietnamese community abroad is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community, over the years, the Party and State have paid more and more attention and taken better care of the Vietnamese community abroad. In recent times, many policies related to Vietnamese people abroad have been improved, opened up, and created more favorable conditions for people such as policies on land, home ownership, visa policies, nationality, labor policies, etc.
Responding to the sharing, suggestions and recommendations of the people in the spirit of "listening, understanding and absorbing", the Prime Minister requested the Vietnamese community abroad, including the Vietnamese in France, to always be proud, have confidence and continue to contribute to building the country to become more and more prosperous, civilized and prosperous. The Prime Minister hopes that the people will continue to unite, unify and help each other; develop the community to become stronger and stronger; preserve and promote national culture; and foster the Vietnam - France relationship to become increasingly deeper, more substantial and effective.
