On the afternoon of July 5, 2024, the General Department of Taxation held an online conference to review tax work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2024. The conference was conducted online from the General Department of Taxation to 63 tax department connection points in provinces and cities. Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan attended and directed the conference.

The state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated at VND 865,350 billion, equal to 58.2% of the ordinance estimate, up 15.3% over the same period. Of which, revenue from crude oil is estimated at VND 29,692 billion, equal to 64.5% of the estimate, up 95.2% over the same period; domestic revenue is estimated at VND 835,658 billion, equal to 58% of the ordinance estimate, up 16.2% over the same period; domestic tax and fee revenue is estimated at VND 655,303 billion, equal to 60.4% of the estimate, up 12.1% over the same period. In general, the state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2024 achieved good progress and speed, with 12/21 tax revenue items and 30/63 localities reaching over 55% of the estimate, with 13/21 tax revenue items and 54/63 localities increasing revenue compared to the same period.
In the past 6 months, tax authorities at all levels have focused on performing tax management functions well. Tax inspection and examination work in the first months of the year was carried out with many flexible, appropriate and correct implementation plans. In addition, the information and propaganda work of the Tax sector in the first 6 months of the year was deployed with the right focus and key points and promptly met the information needs of taxpayers. At the conference, the Provincial and Municipal Tax Departments; agencies and units under the General Department of Taxation discussed and proposed solutions to implement tax tasks in 2024.
Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of 2024, the tax sector will deploy 10 groups of solutions, determined to strive to complete the highest state budget collection; continue to implement policies to support taxpayers, promote production and business development, creating a premise for increasing budget revenue. Evaluate the results of budget collection in 2024 to be practical and feasible. Well implement the tax inspection and examination plan; review tax arrears. Step up propaganda and support for taxpayers by electronic means; continue to strongly implement solutions to modernize information technology and digital transformation in the tax sector... Strengthen discipline, order, improve spirit, attitude, responsibility to serve people and businesses and effectively prevent corruption, practice thrift, fight waste and negativity. Build a regular action plan to improve capacity and revolutionary ethics, and implement President Ho Chi Minh 's teaching "Tax collection must win the hearts of the people".
Thanh Hoa is one of the localities with the highest state budget revenue in the country, with total state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2024 being 18,402 billion VND, reaching 85.9% of the Ministry of Finance's estimate, equal to 151.1% compared to the same period in 2023. In the last 6 months of 2024, Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department continues to focus on synchronously and drastically implementing tax management measures, while closely coordinating with relevant agencies to improve the efficiency of collection and combating state budget losses. Thereby, we are determined to strive to complete the domestic revenue estimate for 2024. |
