Ha Tinh weather: Heat increases in intensity

Ha Tinh is entering a new heat wave.

Ha Tinh Hydrometeorological Station informed: Due to the influence of the low pressure area in the West that tends to develop and expand to the Southeast combined with the foehn effect, today (May 16), the mountainous areas in the West are likely to experience localized heat.

The highest temperature in coastal plains is 33 - 34 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas is 35 - 36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity ranges from 45 - 60%.

From May 18 to 23, Ha Tinh area will have hot and extremely hot weather with the highest temperature of 36 - 38 degrees Celsius, some places over 39 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of hot weather combined with low humidity in the air, the southwest wind causes the foehn effect, so there is a risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires.

In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
