On the afternoon of July 14, at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City State Financial Investment Company (HFIC), a training conference on "Management, operation, supervision and dispute resolution skills towards the establishment of the Vietnam International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City" took place.
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung emphasized: Ho Chi Minh City has long been considered the leading economic center in Southeast Asia, playing a role in connecting both the region and the world. Since July 1, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City has officially merged with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau , creating an expanded urban area, bringing Ho Chi Minh City's position to a new level. The International Financial Center located here is therefore expected to elevate Vietnam on the world economic map, but to turn this ambition into reality, the close contribution of international experts is indispensable.
At the conference, Mr. Renat Bekturov, Governor of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) of Kazakhstan, shared his experience in building a financial center that strongly attracts global capital flows. Mr. Bekturov said that AIFC not only takes advantage of its favorable geographical location but also implements breakthrough legal reforms. An independent, transparent legal and judicial system according to international standards is a key factor in building investor confidence. In particular, the establishment of the AIFC Court and the International Arbitration Center (IAC) has strengthened the role of "guaranteeing" fairness and professionalism for all transactions. AIFC also invites British law experts and experienced international judges to participate in trials, ensuring objectivity and high expertise. The "one-stop" system focusing on licensing and related administrative procedures also contributes to creating a convenient, transparent and effective investment environment.
