Candidates across the province enter the first exam of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

BHG - On the morning of June 26, along with the whole country, 7,524 candidates in the province took the Literature exam, the first subject in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (exam), in essay format, with a test time of 120 minutes.

This year, the Departmentof Education and Training established an Examination Council with 34 examination sites and 346 official examination rooms. There were 7,154 candidates registered for the 2018 General Education Program; 370 candidates registered for the 2006 General Education Program. The whole province mobilized 1,790 cadres, teachers and employees to participate in organizing the exam. Youth Unions established 39 on-site youth volunteer teams and 18 mobile volunteer teams with nearly a thousand union members and young people participating in supporting candidates at the examination sites.

Provincial Police representatives encouraged candidates to be confident, calm, and do well on the exam.

Notably, this year is the first time the exam is organized according to the 2018 General Education Program, so the exam questions and review methods have changed, which is of special interest to both candidates and teachers. To ensure fairness, the Ministry of Education and Training has developed two different sets of exam questions corresponding to the two programs. At the same time, candidates following the 2006 program will take the exam at separate exam locations. For our province, independent candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program will take the exam at the exam location of the Provincial Continuing Education - Vocational Guidance Center and Bac Quang Boarding Ethnic Secondary School - Continuing Education.

According to the plan, the exam will take place from June 25 to 28. Of which, June 25 is for exam procedures, June 26 and 27 are for official exams, and June 28 is a backup exam. Compared to previous years, this year's exam has significant changes when reducing 1 exam session and 2 subjects, in order to reduce pressure on students, parents and reduce social costs while still ensuring quality assessment requirements. The exam structure is built on the basis of output standards, capacity and qualities of students according to each program.

Candidates' personal belongings at the exam sites are carefully kept by the authorities, helping them feel secure while taking the exam.

In the morning, there was light rain at some exam sites in the province. Volunteers and authorities were present early to support and guide candidates and their parents. Security, health care and traffic work were also strengthened by localities to ensure the exam was safe, serious and smooth. Localities provided financial support, arranged accommodation and meals to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds arrive at exam sites safely and on time. Some organizations and individuals mobilized social resources to cook free meals for students from far away.

After the Literature exam, in the afternoon of the same day, candidates will continue to take the Math exam in the form of multiple choice questions. Ha Giang Online Newspaper will continue to update information.
