BHG - Implementing the arrangement of commune-level administrative units according to Resolution No. 46-NQ/TU, dated April 23, 2025, the 32nd Conference of the Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, Xuan Giang commune and Na Khuong commune (Quang Binh) will merge, forming a new commune called Xuan Giang, the administrative center is located in the current Xuan Giang commune. The preparation work for the merger was seriously implemented by the commune, ensuring the correct progress and process.
In the last days of June, the working atmosphere in Xuan Giang commune became more and more urgent and rushed. The team of cadres and civil servants arranged their time to do their professional work well, increasing overtime every day and on weekends to support people in handling administrative procedures.

Mr. Hoang Van Thuyen, an official of Xuan Giang commune, shared: "I determined that when the 2-level administrative unit comes into operation, the requirements at work will be higher, so in addition to the time to complete assigned tasks, I also take the time to go online to search for documents, update professional knowledge; learn about information technology applications in solving work in a large area with a larger population to apply in practice in the coming time."
Xuan Giang commune has 5 part-time cadres. As soon as the merger policy was approved, the commune leaders organized meetings to discuss and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of this cadre team. After reviewing, the commune arranged for 2 comrades to take on the duties of village chiefs; for the 3 comrades who have not been arranged, the commune continued to review to arrange them into suitable positions according to the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs , helping them to fully develop their capacity when the new government apparatus comes into operation.
In order to prepare well for the Party Congress when the commune was newly established, the Standing Committees of Xuan Giang and Na Khuong communes held meetings, established working groups, and assigned tasks to members to draft the Congress documents; agreed to propose a number of contents on socio-economic development targets according to the guidance of the province and district to create a basis for the new Executive Committee to adjust to the actual situation of the locality. In addition, the commune also promoted propaganda and prepared facilities for the congress, ensuring all conditions for the congress to take place successfully.
Chairman of Xuan Giang Commune People's Committee Nguyen Hoai Thanh said: As soon as the merger policy was announced, the commune stepped up propaganda, creating high consensus in awareness and action among all cadres, party members and people. All preparations for the merger were proactively carried out by the commune, ensuring the necessary conditions for the new government apparatus to operate effectively, without affecting the psychology and life of the people.
