BHG - The 2025 high school graduation exam is an important milestone not only for 12th grade students, but also an emotional journey for parents - those who silently accompany and support their children to overcome one of the most important exams of their school years. The image of parents waiting outside the school gate, watching their children's every step into the exam room has left many beautiful impressions.
At the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School, Ha Giang City, from early morning, the candidates were present in large numbers, ready for the first exam - Literature. Outside the school gate, Ms. Nong Bich Hien - the parent of a candidate - could not hide her anxiety. She said: "The whole family has been nervous these past few days. My child is studying under the new curriculum, so the exam content is also different from before. But my child has tried very hard, my family just hopes that he can stay calm and do well on the test."

Not far away, Ms. Chung Thi Ngu, Group 1, Ngoc Ha Ward, Ha Giang City, also stood in front of the school gate waiting for her daughter. She said that although her house was only a few kilometers from the exam site, the mother and daughter had prepared everything together the night before, from school supplies to psychology. “If my daughter was nervous, I was nervous too. Not because I was afraid she wouldn’t be able to do it, but because I understood that this was an important milestone for her. I couldn’t help much other than being there, encouraging her to feel secure and confident as she entered the exam room.”
Tran Tuan Anh, at the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School, Ha Giang City, just finished the Literature exam on the morning of June 26. He shared: “This is the most important exam for me so far. Although I am a bit worried, I find this year's exam questions to be within my ability, open-minded, and create conditions for me to express my personal thoughts and opinions. I know my parents have worked hard to accompany me throughout my studies and this exam. Therefore, I always tell myself to try my best to not disappoint my family's expectations."
Not only in the city, in many highland exam locations such as Meo Vac, Yen Minh, Bac Me, ... hundreds of parents traveled dozens of kilometers to bring their children to the exam location on time. Many people rented a room or motel near the exam location for a few days to conveniently pick up and take care of their children. Those small but loving actions have given great motivation to the students, helping them to be more confident before the important exam.

This year, the organization of exams according to the new general education program puts a lot of pressure on both teachers and students. Students not only have to test their knowledge but also need to demonstrate their ability to think, analyze and apply it in practice. In that context, the role of parents becomes even more important, because they are not only caregivers, but also spiritual support, companions to help children stabilize their psychology and overcome stress.
Comrade Bui Quang Tri, Director of the Provincial Departmentof Education and Training, said: "The whole province has nearly 7,500 candidates with 1 Examination Council, 34 examination sites arranged in districts and cities, with 346 examination rooms, mobilizing 1,790 cadres, teachers, and employees to perform the duties of invigilating, supervising, and serving. The organization of this year's exam has been carefully prepared from facilities, human resources to support plans for candidates and parents. All examination sites have arranged youth volunteers to guide, support drinking water, and pick up and drop off candidates from far away (if any). Thanks to that, on the first day of the exam, the exam took place seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations."
Each exam season is not only a test for the candidates but also a journey of love and sacrifice for the parents. They do not mind the early morning or late night, regardless of the heat, just hoping that their children have enough confidence and the best conditions to enter the exam with the most steadfast spirit. The image of parents like Ms. Hien and Ms. Ngu has contributed to creating a complete exam season, filled with warm family love. In the journey to overcome the gate of heaven, the companionship of the family is a great source of motivation, a solid launching pad for the children to firmly step on the path of knowledge and the future ahead.
