Accordingly, in recent years, with the attention, leadership, direction and support of the Central Government, the Party Committee and the people of Ha Tinh have promoted democracy, solidarity and unity, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and achieved important results in all fields; Ha Tinh's cultural and social fields have had many positive changes, and the spiritual life of the people has continued to improve. In particular, the field of physical training and sports has also developed relatively evenly, high-performance sports continue to achieve high results; mass sports for everyone continue to develop.

After the implementation process, the enforcement of the Law on Physical Training and Sports has had a very positive impact on the management and development of the physical training and sports career; especially in the past 10 years, the mass physical training and sports movement in the province has been widely developed, many groups of participants, social evils have been significantly reduced, the health of cadres, soldiers and people has been improved to serve the work, study, labor and be ready to fight to protect the fatherland.

Mass sports activities are regularly organized from the province, district to the grassroots level; the scale and quality of the movement are increasingly improved; by the end of 2024, the rate of people participating in physical training and sports will reach 43.5%, the rate of sports families will reach 30.5%. On average, 13 to 16 provincial sports tournaments, 480 - 500 district, town and city sports tournaments and over 1,200 commune-level sports activities and tournaments will be organized annually.
The development of high-performance sports has also made significant progress. Currently, Ha Tinh is training over 345 athletes in 10 high-performance sports at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center. Ha Tinh's high-performance athletes have won many national, regional and world medals; on average, they participate in 45 to 55 national, international and regional tournaments each year, winning from 200 to 220 medals of all kinds, including many international and continental medals...; Ha Tinh's youth football (U) teams have achieved certain achievements in recent years: 3 silver medals, 1 bronze medal at the National Football Championships for youth groups held annually; at the 9th National Sports Festival in 2022, they ranked 26th out of 63 provinces, cities and sectors.
Hosted many national and international sports tournaments; in particular, coordinated with Vietnam Television to successfully organize the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Tournament in 2018, the Asian Pencak Silat Championship in 2025 and organized football matches in the National Championship at Ha Tinh Stadium, which were highly appreciated by the Central and the provinces, thereby promoting the image of the homeland and people of Ha Tinh to domestic and international friends.
Although economic conditions are still facing many difficulties, Ha Tinh province is one of the few provinces and centrally-run cities that has maintained a professional football club - Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club, participating in the V-League 1 National Football Championship continuously from 2020 to present.
After 8 years of continued implementation (from July 1, 2017 to present), the Law on Physical Training and Sports has had a very positive impact on the management and development of physical training and sports, the mass physical training and sports movement has been widely developed, with many participants; high-performance sports have made a leap forward; the image of society and spiritual life have been improved, social evils have been significantly reduced, and the health of cadres, soldiers and people has been improved to serve work, study, labor and be ready to fight to protect the Fatherland.
Through the process of implementing the Law on Physical Training and Sports and legal documents guiding the implementation of the Law, there have been positive changes in the awareness of the majority of sectors at all levels and the whole society about the significance, importance and other values of Physical Training and Sports.
In the coming time, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes to continue to propagate and disseminate the Law on Physical Training and Sports more widely with a wider geographical scope and increase the number of subjects to be communicated to raise awareness of officials and people about physical training and sports development to serve people's health, serve the cause of national construction and protection, and international integration.
Closely follow the Party's guidelines and policies, specifically Plan No. 257-KH/TU dated April 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement Conclusion No. 70-KL/TW on developing physical training and sports in the new period in Ha Tinh province; State policies on physical training and sports, conduct a preliminary review of the implementation of the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" in the period of 2020 - 2030, thereby orienting the planning for the following years.
Continue to develop and implement plans for physical education and sports development, mobilize social resources to build physical education and sports facilities at the grassroots level according to the criteria for building advanced new rural areas. Further promote investment in the strong development of sports planning and strategic goals, especially high-performance sports, identify strong and key sports to prioritize investment funding.
Continue to strengthen political and ideological education in the sports sector to improve the political quality, ethics, lifestyle, and cultural level of officials, coaches, athletes, and referees; develop policies and regimes that are appropriate to reality. At the same time, do a good job of planning and training staff, referees, etc. to meet the needs and development tasks of the sports sector.
