BHG - On the morning of June 26, candidates in our province officially entered the first day of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. Records at the exam sites showed that the atmosphere was serious, safe, and in accordance with regulations. Candidates entered the exam room with confidence, calmness, and determination to do their best.
At the exam site of Le Hong Phong High School (Ha Giang city), from 6 am, the police force, youth union members, medical staff , and security guards were present to guide candidates into the exam room, assist with traffic flow, ensure security and order, and promptly handle unexpected situations. The first day's weather was cool and favorable, contributing to helping candidates' psychology become more stable. Outside the school gate, many parents stood waiting for their children, watching their every step into the exam site. Ms. Bui Thi Lien, group 12, Minh Khai ward shared: "I hope my child will be steadfast and do well on the test; the whole family encourages him to try hard, because this is a turning point, a big milestone in his student life."

Among the subjects of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, the Literature subject according to the 2018 generaleducation program is the most anticipated because it is the first year that materials from textbooks are not used. After 120 minutes of taking the test, finishing the Literature subject in the morning, many candidates left the exam room with bright faces and a sigh of relief. Many candidates commented that the exam was suitable for their abilities. The reading comprehension part was relatively easy, while the writing part had clear differentiation, requiring candidates not only to have a solid grasp of knowledge, but also to be able to apply it in practice and have a deep understanding of social issues.
Bui Nhu Quynh, a student at Le Hong Phong High School, shared: “I think this year's exam was built with a new structure that is quite good, creating conditions for candidates to freely express their personal opinions. In particular, the social argument with the theme "Every homeland's sky is also the Fatherland's sky" is very meaningful and relevant in the context of the country undergoing many great changes, especially the merger of provinces and cities. Through this topic, it has aroused the love for the homeland, the country, and the spirit of national solidarity in every Vietnamese person. The remaining reading comprehension and writing sections have open-ended questions that help candidates easily get points if they have a solid grasp of basic knowledge. I did quite well on the test and hope to achieve the desired score."

In this year's exam, the volunteer spirit of "Supporting the exam season" continued to spread strongly in the localities. Youth volunteer teams were present very early at the exam sites to support candidates with the smallest things such as distributing drinking water, milk, cakes, and hand fans. In addition, many meaningful programs and activities were also implemented, typically the Youth Union of Quan Ba district connected, called for, and mobilized sponsorship to cook 170 free lunches on June 26 for all candidates taking the exam at the Quyet Tien High School exam site; the Youth Union of Quang Binh district, high schools in the area, and the Parents' Association arranged accommodation and free meals for more than 120 students. In addition, some places supported accommodation and shuttle buses for candidates living far from the exam sites.
Comrade Tran Duc Minh, Secretary of the Minh Khai Ward Youth Union (Ha Giang City) said: From June 25 to 27, the ward Youth Union mobilized more than 20 members and young people to work in shifts at the Le Hong Phong High School exam site to support candidates and their parents. They participated in providing water and looking after the candidates' belongings...
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, the Literature exam on the morning of June 26 had 7,405/7,479 candidates taking the exam, reaching a rate of 99%; of which, 25 disabled candidates were exempted from the exam, 49 candidates were absent without clear reasons, most of them were independent candidates; there were no exam supervisors, invigilators or candidates violating exam regulations. After the Literature exam, students will continue to take other exams. Serious work, responsibility, and close coordination between levels and sectors are key factors to ensure the exam takes place safely and effectively.
