For me, Ha Giang Newspaper is not only a place to work but also a professional home, a place to preserve memories and beautiful memories of a time working as a journalist in difficult and deprived conditions but full of passion and affection.

I started working at Ha Giang Newspaper in 1996. At that time, the newspaper production techniques were still manual, staff and reporters had to do many jobs, and the equipment was outdated. However, in the midst of difficulties, the editorial staff worked together, overcame difficulties, and worked side by side to ensure that each issue was published on schedule and with quality, bringing the breath of life from all over the Ha Giang countryside to readers near and far. From the pages reflecting the lives of the people in the highlands to important political topics, we always put responsibility first.
I am fortunate to witness the growth of Ha Giang Newspaper through each stage. From a newspaper printed once a week to several times a week and now 5 times a week; from black and white to color; from traditional print to electronic and social media, especially the newspaper has developed strongly on digital platforms.
Before the moment of merging Ha Giang Newspaper with Tuyen Quang Radio and Television Newspaper and Station, I believe that the journalism teams of the two provinces will together create a new, strong, professional newspaper, better meeting the propaganda tasks in the new period.

However, what I and perhaps many generations of cadres, reporters, and editors of Ha Giang Newspaper always hope for is that the identity of Ha Giang journalism, the unique voice of the borderland, will be preserved and promoted. Stories about ethnic minorities, about hunger eradication, poverty reduction, socio-economic development, about Ha Giang people with strong willpower... need to continue to have a worthy place in the media journey ahead.
Although the newspaper named "Ha Giang Newspaper" is about to close, although the organization has changed, the affection for the "common home" Ha Giang Newspaper remains intact.
