More than 1,100 Hanoi students admitted to grade 10 public schools

On July 23, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the list of more than 1,100 students admitted to grade 10 public schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the list of additional admissions to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year at Phuc Loi and Minh Quang high schools, and the list of admissions to grade 10 at two newly established high schools, Phuc Thinh and Do Muoi.

In the list announced by the Department, the total number of students admitted to schools is 1,132 students.

Of which, Phuc Loi High School recruited 112 additional students, Minh Quang High School recruited 32 additional students; Phuc Thinh High School recruited 504 students and Do Muoi High School recruited 484 students.

With the addition of two new high schools and two additional high schools, this time 1,132 city students have the opportunity to study in grade 10 at public schools.

In addition, the Department also noted that admitted students must submit their admission application to the school from 8:00 a.m. on July 28 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30 (during office hours).

The Department of Education and Training requires the admission councils of schools to publicly announce the list of additional admitted students and organize the reception of applications of admitted students according to regulations.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi this year took place over two days, June 7-8. This was the most crowded 10th grade exam in the country, with nearly 103,000 candidates participating, completing the three subjects of Math, Literature and Foreign Language (mostly English), to get the score to enter non-specialized public 10th grade. Of which, about 13,000 candidates registered to take the additional specialized subject exam on June 9.

On July 4, the Department announced the benchmark scores of 119 public schools. In the non-specialized group, Yen Hoa High School and Le Quy Don High School (Ha Dong) led with 25.5 points. Following were Viet Duc High School and Phan Dinh Phung High School with 25.25 points.

Among specialized schools, the Chemistry specialized class of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has the highest score with 42.75/50 points; the English specialized class of this school has the second highest score with 41.15 points.
