At the invitation of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Saint Petersburg city government, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary To Lam, arrived in Moscow on July 22 to visit and attend cultural diplomatic activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

On the morning of July 23 (Moscow time), Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly visited the Hanoi - Moscow Multifunctional Complex (INCENTRA), attended two Vietnamese classes of the Asia - Europe Prodigy Center and the "Happy Vietnamese" program for Vietnamese students there.

At the Vietnamese language class located right inside INCENTRA, the Lady shared her joy at seeing "very Vietnamese" faces in Russia. She also expressed her emotion when witnessing the Vietnamese people's turn to their homeland and country through generations.

Many times, she kindly asked the children if they heard and understood everything shared by the uncles and aunts in the working group. The Lady considered the Vietnamese class a success after all the children answered "Yes" in unison.

"This is the success of the program, the success comes from the attention of the Asia-Europe Prodigy Center and the efforts of the teachers. Although the children were not born in Vietnam, they already know and understand many things about the Vietnamese language, culture, and history of our country," the Lady shared.

The General Secretary’s wife affirmed that language is not only a means of communication, but also a cultural bridge, a sacred link between people and their national roots. The Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese community an inseparable part of the Vietnamese nation.

For children born and raised abroad, Vietnamese is the "key" to opening the door to Vietnam's rich cultural treasure.

"If you are Vietnamese, you know, speak and understand Vietnamese, you will understand the origin of the nation, history, and our ancestors, and from there be proud of your culture and origin. You should try to study well, understand Vietnamese so that wherever you are, you will have Vietnam in your heart," Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly sent a message to the students.

The center's teachers' representatives expressed their emotions, saying that the Madam's sharing about the meaning and importance of Vietnamese was a valuable lesson for the students, a lesson that would leave many unforgettable impressions with "teacher" Ngo Phuong Ly.

On this occasion, the wife of General Secretary To Lam presented gifts of Vietnamese books and storybooks to the students and sat with the children, clapping along to dances to songs about the homeland of Vietnam.

She was also surprised and delighted when the children danced to "Bac Bling", showing the deep connection and love for their homeland of those living far away from home.
