Specifically, Petrovietnam's total estimated revenue is about VND510,000 billion, of which consolidated revenue is about VND310,000 billion. The amount of money paid to the State budget by the Group is estimated at VND66,500 billion, accounting for 64.8% of the total budget payment of the entire enterprise group managed by the Ministry of Finance and nearly 48% of the total revenue of the entire group.
According to the general report, the total consolidated revenue of all enterprises under the Ministry of Finance in the first 6 months of the year reached about 1.07 million billion VND, completing 50.3% of the annual plan and equivalent to 100.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Consolidated pre-tax profit is estimated at 82,100 billion VND (reaching 60.9% of the plan), while the total state budget contribution of the whole group reached 102,700 billion VND, equal to 54.6% of the annual plan.
At the parent company level, businesses also recorded positive results. Total financial revenue of the parent company is estimated at VND662,000 billion (48.7% of the plan); pre-tax profit is about VND40,900 billion, more than double the same period last year. The amount paid to the budget by the parent company sector is VND35,900 billion.
In the energy sector, three major corporations including Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Petrovietnam and Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) have a total electricity output estimated at 178 billion kWh. Of which, EVN accounts for 88%, Petrovietnam 9% and TKV 3%. Particularly, the output of gasoline produced by Petrovietnam reached 3.87 million tons, up 27% over the same period. Meanwhile, Petrolimex - the main unit in gasoline distribution consumed about 8.7 million m³/ton, up 11.5%.
In heavy industries such as coal and minerals, TKV basically followed the plan with clean coal, alumina, copper plate output... all increasing compared to the same period. The transport sector also recorded many positive signals. The aviation industry transported about 12.6 million passengers and 165,000 tons of cargo, up 13% and 15% respectively. Airports reached about 60 million passengers and 817,000 tons of cargo (up 12%). Road transport reached about 36.6 million, up 10% while rail and sea transport were stable and approaching the plan.
The agriculture, forestry and industrial production sectors also had positive growth, closely following the annual target. In the telecommunications industry, data output in the first 6 months of the year reached 1.35 billion GB, up 8.4% over the same period, reflecting the continuous expansion of digital infrastructure and data consumption demand.
These results show Petrovietnam's key role in the SOE sector not only in terms of finance but also in ensuring energy, industrial production and stable contribution to the national budget, a bright spot in the economic picture in the first 6 months of 2025.
