Previously, on July 11, ship 950 was on duty in an area about 30 nautical miles from Phan Vinh A island when it received orders from superiors to quickly maneuver to Phan Vinh A island to receive fisherman Do Minh Vuong and bring him back to the mainland for medical treatment. While working at sea, fisherman Do Minh Vuong showed symptoms of urinary retention of unknown cause and rectal mucosal prolapse.
Receiving the mission, officers and soldiers of ship 950 quickly mobilized to receive the patient, organize health care measures, encourage morale and ensure absolute safety throughout the journey back to shore.
Immediately after docking, Colonel Do Van Son, representative of Brigade 955, directly visited and encouraged the sick fishermen, and presided over the signing of the handover minutes of the patients to their families.

Fisherman Do Minh Vuong was then transferred to Treatment Team 486 for further examination, monitoring and treatment.
