Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam highly appreciated the efforts of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the city's Construction sector in 2023, a year that can be considered a year of "plowing and sowing" and has achieved a number of important results contributing to the city's socio -economic development.
The workload of the Department of Construction is huge, with more than 30,000 incoming documents in 2023 alone. The Department has also responded, responded, and resolved more than 12,000 outgoing documents.
At the same time, it has carried out 1,658 tasks assigned by the City People's Committee. In particular, the Department of Construction has completed 16/17 key tasks assigned by the City People's Committee, reaching a rate of 94.1%.
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam also highly appreciated the Department of Construction for proposing and advising the City People's Committee to carry out a very humane task to start the implementation of the 2024 task, which is to hand over the decision to arrange apartments for 44 poor households and those in especially difficult circumstances and exempt or reduce house rent so that the households can have a warm Lunar New Year.
At the same time, note that the Department of Construction focuses on 6 groups of issues in 2024. Specifically, coordinate to complete the appraisal of zoning planning projects so that the City People's Committee can complete approval in the third quarter of 2024.
The Department focuses on completing the elevation and drainage planning to create a legal basis for recalculating the entire existing drainage system as well as making new investments to solve the flooding situation in the city.
In addition, coordinate the implementation of underground space planning projects for approval by the City People's Committee in 2025.
The Department focuses on advising, proposing and coordinating with localities to complete the relocation of households out of seriously degraded apartment buildings and collective houses. At the same time, it continues to advise on the development of social housing.
A very important issue is that in 2024, the Department will continue to coordinate to advise on the management and development of the urban green tree system, especially trees that can adapt to climate change and environmental conditions, suitable for the city.
The Department of Construction also needs to focus on digital transformation, especially focusing on building a construction industry database system, especially in 2024, it is necessary to build an overall architectural framework for the database...
Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam also requested the Department of Construction to deploy and effectively implement Directive No. 34-CT/TU dated October 27, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on continuing to promote administrative reform, strengthen discipline, discipline, overcome the situation of evasion, shirking, not properly and fully performing the responsibilities, tasks, and powers of a number of cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees in the current situation.
In 2024, the Department of Construction is determined to strive to contribute to completing the city's annual theme, especially completing 5 main targets: completing 3 tasks according to the annual theme; completing 9 tasks according to the work program assigned by the City People's Committee to the Department of Construction on schedule, ensuring quality; completing the tasks of directing and operating socio-economic development in 2024; completing regular professional tasks well.
The completion and updating rate of work assigned by the City People's Committee reaches a minimum of 95%; improving the administrative reform ranking compared to 2023.
