Di An Ward (HCMC): 98.5% of people have received Independence Day gifts

On the morning of September 1, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Chairwoman of Di An Ward People's Committee, said that units are urgently implementing the work of paying gifts to local people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Accordingly, as soon as the Government issued Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP dated August 29, 2025 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the People's Committee of Di An ward deployed the implementation plan.

Payment method: Direct payment or via social security account on VNeID application. For direct payment, Di An Ward People's Committee has organized 10 gift distribution points for local residents, at the offices of the Neighborhood Management Boards.

Notably, the Ward People's Committee also deployed mobile gift-giving teams for households with elderly heads and difficulty traveling.

People in Di An ward do procedures to receive gifts directly

Di An Ward currently has a total of 25,392 households with 104,658 people. Of which, 24,696 households with 103,962 people are permanent residents and are eligible to receive gifts.

According to the report, the total estimated budget for gift giving to people in Di An ward is more than 10.5 billion VND, of which the direct expenditure is more than 8.6 billion VND (accounting for more than 82.3%).

Representatives of households receive cash directly from the People's Committee of Di An ward.

As of 9:00 a.m. on September 1, more than 98.5% of the money had been paid, ensuring timely, transparent and safe payments for people during the country's important holiday.
