Phu My Dong strives to become a key economic commune

Phu My Dong Commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: My An, My Thang, My Tho. During the past term, the Party Committee, government and people of the localities have promoted the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, made efforts to resolutely, promptly and synchronously implement solutions to promote socio -economic development, improve the quality of life of the people. The highlight is that the Party Committees of the 3 communes all completed their tasks well or better. The targets on average income per capita, budget revenue, education, health care... also exceeded the targets; national security and defense were ensured.

In the period of 2025-2030, Phu My Dong strives for a growth rate of gross local product (GRDP) of 49.9%. By 2030, the total budget revenue in the commune will reach over 28.4 billion VND. Each year, 1 new project will be attracted. The rate of rural households using clean water will reach 100%; 98% of households, 100% of villages, agencies, units, and enterprises will meet cultural standards. The rate of population participating in health insurance will reach 94% or more. 100% of schools will meet national standards; 100% of medical stations will have doctors working.

Every year, over 90% of grassroots Party organizations complete their tasks well or better. The Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations strive to complete their tasks well or better. By 2030, the commune strives to meet advanced new rural standards, become a key economic commune, and have a growth rate higher than the provincial average.

Phu My Dong Commune Party Committee has also identified 4 key tasks and 4 breakthroughs that need to be implemented quickly and effectively to promote socio-economic development, striving to become a key economic commune of the province.

Speaking at the Congress, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh emphasized: Phu My Dong Commune Party Committee needs to quickly stabilize its organization, build solidarity and unity within the entire Party Committee, the entire people and the entire army. This is the top priority and has decisive significance.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the new term Party Executive Committee of the commune to focus on leading, directing, and thoroughly disseminating the correct policies of the Party and the policies and laws of the State on the arrangement of administrative units at all levels and the organization of a two-level local government model.

Building a clean and strong Party and political system, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations and the contingent of cadres and Party members. Strictly implementing the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee, Session XII, Conclusion of the 4th Central Committee Conference, Session XIII; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; strengthening the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work, resolutely fighting against corruption, waste and negativity at the grassroots level.

Along with that, it is necessary to promote democracy, strengthen the great national unity bloc; listen to and promptly resolve people's legitimate concerns and recommendations, and at the same time encourage people to participate in social supervision and criticism.

The new Party Committee also needs to urgently concretize the congress resolution into specific action plans and programs that are close to the actual situation. In the immediate future, the commune needs to focus on leadership, direction, and management in a close, decisive, and breakthrough manner, giving maximum priority to promoting economic growth.

The focus is on developing industry associated with Phu My Industrial Park; attracting investment, developing renewable energy industry; supporting the formation of the Renewable Energy Human Resource Training Center Project; focusing on applying science and technology to modernize and increase the value of agricultural production. At the same time, promoting the development of services and tourism; forming and developing trade and service activities associated with Phu My Industrial Park and Port Area.

Phu My Dong also needs to review, supplement and update the commune's master plan to exploit the local potential and advantages to the fullest. Continue to invest and complete the synchronous socio-economic infrastructure; strictly manage, exploit and effectively use land resources to attract investment and promote sustainable urbanization.

Pay attention to environmental protection and effectively adapt to climate change. On the other hand, focus on cultural and social development and improve people's quality of life. In particular, the commune must ensure the consolidation of national defense and security, maintain political stability, order and social safety.

The Congress announced the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and key positions of the Phu My Dong Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, the Executive Committee consists of 25 comrades; Comrade Tran Van Phuc was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee.
